I just posted an ebony Les Paul guitar that was made in 1985 and is 1 of only 1,000 made. It appraised at $10,000. The opening bid is $2,499. It has only had one owner who metciously took care of this instrument...go to this link and check it out:

The Christmas season is here. I love Christmas. Be sure to stop by and check out all the neat merchandise and gift ideas at my stores.

Christmas is a hustle and bustle time of year...but it seems that we are on the verge of change...and not all bad. I know our family has scaled back and have gotten back to the basics. We are looking forward to just buying a few gifts and spending lots of time with one another...we're pulling out the board games and wine! The pressure is off.

Ebay and other ecommerce sites offer great bargains and shipping to your door...it doesn't get any easier than that!! Take advantage, keep it simple, treat yourself this holiday season.

Autumn is blazing it's way across the Midwest's landscape with a glorious pallette! The air is crisp and the leaves are crunching. I love Fall and all the camp fires, hayrides, scarecrows, Thanksgiving.

I have been working on posting the next 100 items from the Disney photographer's collection he is offering for purchase. I have posted Wollenstock lenses, 14 vintage Polaroid cameras, J. C. Somerville & H.A. Hyatt lenses, Weston Light meters...14 meters all together.

Particular interest is a Wollenstock-Rochester Lens with a Studio shutter ...with the original brass flange!

Yet to come is a very nice antique View Finder with another vintage brass lens...keep watching for this rare piece.

I just got in a D C Comic figurine collection of BATMAN!! He is included in many different years and accessories..with his right hand man Robin..and all his "enemies". This entire collection is being donated to a local Orphange fund.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Dells. We went to House on the Rock; took a Duck tour, spent a couple of days at Mt Olympus amusement park. We also walked across the dry bed of Lake Delton...they are repairing the dam and should be filled in one year.

New This Week

I brought back lots of enamelware from Wisconsin...there's a nice blue swirl percolating coffee pot that is is great shape. There's also a Savory Roaster that looks like it came straight out of an ad from the 1950's - you know, the one with the housewife in a dress and pearls basting her perfect turkey.

I guess the most exciting is the antique perfume bottle...it is just amazingly brilliant..check it out

Antique Lamp, More Cameras, Pfaltzgraff Wisconsin Dells, HERE WE COME!

My family and I are getting ready to go to Wisconsin Dells for a week of fun & relaxation. I think we are going to walk across the Lower-non-exsistant-Dells just to say we did! Keep posted...maybe I can figure out how to post photos!

WHAT'S NEW
This week, I came across an antique cherub lamp. It is die cast, I think, because it looks as if it were poured into a mold and put together from 2 halves. The shade is a little dented, and there are possibly a few pieces of glass missing from the shade, but it still is striking and has an appealing presence. Vintage Movie Cameras-Bell & Howell, Victor

My adventure learning about vintage cameras continues.... I have to share some more interesting facts I have discovered.

Did you know that Bell & Howell Co. made the Standard Cinematograph Type 2709 hand-cranked camera used in early silent films and it was so expensive that only Charlie Chaplin and three other people owned one. The rest were owned by studios.

Victor is the maker of the Hasselblad camera that was used during the Apollo Program missions when man first landed on the Moon. Almost all of the still photographs taken during these missions used specially modified Hasselblad cameras.
